When he was 15, Chethan Manchegowda lost his beloved teacher to the unavailability of blood.

This loss led him to study and discover the prevalence of blood scarcity in India and how much needed to be done to let no other life suffer due to it.

He resolved to bring a solution and founded Khoon in 2016 at 16 years old.

How is Khoon Fighting Blood Shortage in India?

As a youth-led NGO we help in ushering blood from hearty donors to the ailing. We are working towards achieving this primarily by encouraging and facilitating walk-in donations.

We try to achieve this not only by ushering blood, but also by educating blood bank technicians, conducting awareness workshops, campaigns, and plays, delivering talks in education institutions, and more. With our genesis in Bangalore, today,

we have spread our operations PAN India.

We maintain a national database of 150K+ blood donors, from where we find your perfect match. We feel truly blessed to have helped save more than 120K+ lives since 2016, and aim to save many more in the time to come.
